good for stop-over but nothing else
The staff was not much interested in what I asked for. They did simply what they routinly do and that's it. Take it or leave it. They gave me a room with bath for handicapped, why ...? No warm water, why ..? In both cases as response I got just a grin .. no comments. Hotel requires urgently renovation and more attentive staff at reception.
Lack of real soap and shampoo. Quality of food at dinner, staff was good.
It was near the airport.
I got the feeling I am not welcome, as the first question was "when did you make this booking?". The same question was asked by the guy stading in front of the reception, as well as the receptionist. I felt that there is no room for me and that I am not welcome - the hotel already has enough gests. Also, at first, I did not get the twin room I had booked, and needed to change it.
Close to the airport
The Coffee. Not one of the 5 of us could drink the coffee at breakfast. It was terrible! I thought the breakfast selection was worse than most of the hotels I stay in.
Close to Heathrow
The smell of stale food in the reception area and bar from the restaurant was disgusting. The whole area smelt like a works canteen. We did not eat anything in the hotel and only had one drink at the bar. The signage for the rooms was not very clear for the room we had, no access from the lift in reception to our room through multiple doors would be a nightmare for a disabled person. It was bad enough for a couple of sprightly Old Age Pensioners. No confirmation as to a double bed rather than twin beds was recieved although rerquested. The roreign eceptionship was not aware of this requirement when booking in.
No water coming out of taps in bathroom sink. Told front desk twice, said they would send somebody to look at problem, nobody was sent. Called for a third time around 1700 told maintainence people had left. Noisy during the day as they were breaking up tile in room above.
High Price Manager Needs a course in customer service Staff follows the lead of the manager....not a good reflection on the Holiday Inns worldwide.
The internet was not functioning. We chose the Holiday Inn believing the internet would be working. It was not working for 3 days prior and through the day we were there. They offered no solution but to use the telephone, an expensive experience.
Not value for money. Expensive shuttle. Poor airconditioning. Very confusing layout given it is two buildings (not mentioned on Booked.net), Average food. Wont be racing back
I booked from Booked.net, when I checked out, I need to pay but was told it is prepaid (after confirmation of 4 staffs when I challenged this because Booked.net will not charge directly). So no receipt of the payment can be provided by Holiday Inn. (And no points for my stay as Priority Club member) Two days later, I received a bill on my visa card indicating that the payment was done. But this is not as I have predicted. And I need to contact Holiday Inn again to get my receipt.
Slow receptionand no remote control for the TV
Why did they charge me additional money?
Was disappointed about the staff because I almost miss my plane because the staff forget to woke me up!!!!, So next time I will go somewhere else
